Systems Engineer

Join a Established and Essential Insurance Organization in North Carolina as a Systems Engineer!

What You'll Do:

• Design, implement, and maintain reliable, secure IT infrastructure, including cloud, network, and system solutions.

• Lead system upgrades, migrations, technology implementations, and major IT projects.

• Strengthen security through audits, protocols, vulnerability remediation, and employee training.

• Develop and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity strategies.

• Partner with IT leadership on technology planning, budgeting, and resource allocation.

• Mentor IT team members and provide technical guidance on systems, security, and emerging technologies.

What We're Looking For:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Systems Administration, or a related field.

• 5+ years of hands-on systems administration experience preferred.

• Strong experience with Windows, Office 365, VMware, identity management, Cisco networking, VPN, MFA, endpoint protection, and cloud infrastructure.

• Knowledge of AWS, Azure, or GCP and virtualization platforms such as VMware or Hyper-V.

• Strong networking and cybersecurity knowledge, including VLANs, routing, firewalls, and intrusion detection.

• Scripting experience with PowerShell, Bash, or Python.

• Excellent project management, communication, problem-solving, and mentoring skills.

• Relevant certifications such as MCSE, Server+, CCNP, or CISA are a plus.

• Remote candidates must be located in AL, FL, GA, KY, NC, OH, KS, OK, PA, SC, TN, TX, or VA to be considered for this role.
