Senior Underwriting Technician – Complex Accounts

Join one of the largest High-Net-Worth MGUs in the market as a Senior Underwriting Technician in the Complex Accounts department!



What You’ll Do

  • Support underwriting of highly complex, high‑exposure personal lines accounts.

  • Review and evaluate sophisticated renewal policies, endorsements, and submissions for accuracy, risk qualification, and compliance.

  • Perform detailed rating work, analysis, and spreadsheet modeling to support underwriting decisions.

  • Identify and resolve inconsistencies in risk acceptance, gathering needed information for underwriters.

  • Issue policies, endorsements, cancellations, and billing instructions while ensuring accuracy and compliance.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex procedural or computational issues, including multi‑location or difficult risks.

  • Partner closely with underwriters to improve renewal strategies, strengthen insurance programs, and support client retention.

  • Assist with reporting, audits, agency analysis, and special projects.

  • Maintain accurate file documentation and follow established authority guidelines and workflows.



What We’re Looking For:

  • 2+ years of Personal Lines High‑Net‑Worth P&C experience (or relevant professional experience).
    Working knowledge of underwriting practices and processes.

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.

  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Highly organized with the ability to manage high‑volume work and tight deadlines.

  • Detail‑oriented, self‑directed, and able to prioritize effectively.

  • Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, evolving environment with cross‑functional collaboration.

  • Strong customer service orientation and initiative‑driven mindset.

  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and general PC/internet tools.

Additional Requirements:

  • P&C license (or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire).

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.

  • Preferably located within commuting distance of one of the company’s office hubs for occasional on‑site presence.
