Senior Technical Business Analyst

What You'll Do:

• Build deep expertise in the organization’s rating environment, including rating engine workflows, Excel-based rating models, and integrations with policy administration systems.

• Develop a strong understanding of how underwriting rules, rating logic, and workflows interact across multiple platforms.

• Gather, analyze, and translate business needs into clear specifications for rating, rules configuration, and system enhancements.

• Collaborate with Product, Actuarial, and Technology teams to design effective, scalable platform solutions.

• Review and analyze system workflows, rating logic, and integrations to troubleshoot issues and support ongoing platform improvements.

• Participate in testing, validation, and issue resolution related to rating and underwriting platform updates.

• Work closely with internal engineering teams and external development partners.

• Help define priorities, clarify requirements, and ensure successful delivery of enhancements and system changes.

• Facilitate clear communication among business stakeholders, actuarial partners, and engineering teams.

• Coordinate platform updates across teams and maintain comprehensive documentation of workflows and system changes.

What We’re Looking For:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field

• Experience in Property & Casualty insurance

• Hands-on experience with insurance rating engines

• Experience building or maintaining Excel-based rating models

• Familiarity with policy administration systems

• Ability to analyze complex system workflows and API integrations

• Strong Excel and structured data analysis skills

• Basic knowledge of SQL or Python

• Experience coordinating work across business and technology teams

• Experience managing or collaborating with external consultants or development partners

• Excellent communication skills, including translating technical concepts for non‑technical audiences

• Strong analytical, documentation, and problem‑solving skills

• Creative approach to solving complex system challenges

• Familiarity with modern low‑code policy administration platforms

• Experience working in Agile environments

• Project management or Scrum Master experience

• Experience using API testing tools such as Postman
