Regional Sales Manager

Join a growing, entrepreneurial insurance carrier as an experienced Regional Sales Manager and drive profitable growth across a multi-state territory!



What You'll Do:

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of Territory Managers to drive profitable premium growth and achieve regional sales goals.

  • Build and strengthen agency relationships while identifying opportunities to expand business within existing accounts and develop new distribution partnerships.

  • Conduct field visits, ride-alongs, training sessions, workshops, and webinars to support agency and Territory Manager success.

  • Partner with Product, Claims, Customer Experience, and leadership teams to execute market strategies and support organizational objectives.

  • Analyze market trends, agency performance, and loss ratio results to develop action plans that improve profitability, retention, and growth.

  • Manage agency appointments, terminations, and rehabilitation efforts while ensuring compliance with company standards and processes.

  • Support annual business planning, budgeting, and state-specific sales strategies in partnership with regional leadership.

  • Monitor performance metrics, maintain sales reporting, manage travel budgets, and contribute to strategic sales initiatives across the region.



What We're Looking For:

  • 5+ years of insurance sales, marketing, agency management, or business development experience.

  • 3+ years of carrier-side experience working with independent agents and distribution partners.

  • Proven leadership experience coaching, mentoring, and developing sales professionals or Territory Managers.

  • Strong understanding of agency distribution, premium growth strategies, loss ratio management, and profitability objectives.

  • Experience building and maintaining relationships with agency principals, producers, and customer service teams.

  • Ability to analyze market data, identify growth opportunities, and execute strategic business plans.

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Willingness to travel throughout the assigned territory and maintain an active presence with agency partners.

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Insurance, Risk Management, or equivalent industry experience preferred.
