Join our established, leading Wholesale Insurance Broker client as an experienced Property Broker!
What You’ll Do:
Build, manage, and grow a profitable book of business.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with agency partners, serving as the primary client contact.
Create and execute strategic marketing plans to drive new business and maximize renewals.
Evaluate, rate, quote, and bind risks, ensuring proper coverage, pricing, and underwriting quality.
Handle complex new and renewal business, including non-standard or hard-to-place risks.
Collaborate with internal brokerage partners and leadership on underwriting referrals and deal execution.
Monitor key performance metrics (hit ratio, retention, premium growth, loss ratio) and adjust strategies to improve results.
Mentor, train, and develop Assistant and Associate Underwriters.
What We’re Looking For:
3+ years of commercial lines underwriting or brokerage experience; excess & surplus experience preferred.
Strong sales and marketing capabilities with a relationship-driven approach.
Proven ability to build and grow a book of business.
Solid underwriting judgment and experience handling complex risks.
Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Effective communication and negotiation skills.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Active insurance license; CPCU, CIC, or similar designations preferred.
Commitment to ongoing professional development and industry education.
