Join our growing MGA client in the Personal Lines E&S space as a Director of Agency Development and lead initiatives that drive growth, agent satisfaction, and operational excellence!
What You’ll Do:
Achieve goals and objectives including new business policy acquisition, customer retention, and agent satisfaction.
Manage and grow the performance of the agency development team through consistent recruitment, training, and supervision of Agency Development Managers (ADMs).
Ensure proper staffing goals are met and oversee the selection and performance of new ADMs.
Support training and education on products across the team, including Personal Lines E&S and digital partnerships.
Drive premium growth through coaching interactions with ADMs and cultivating relationships with agents.
Implement proactive efforts to keep agents informed on systems, products, and underwriting guidelines while prospecting new agencies.
Provide general account management for agencies and maintain accurate records of all sales activities via Salesforce.
Monitor key performance indicators, share best practices, and identify training opportunities.
Conduct business inspections and ensure adherence to company policies and procedures.
Assist with marketing strategies to increase agency penetration and production levels.
Work closely with product management to communicate competitive information and identify new opportunities.
Travel frequently for in-person agency visits, trade shows, conferences, and presence at the Tampa office.
What We’re Looking For:
Experience: Minimum of 7+ years in the P&C industry and 5+ years in account management, agency development, or outside sales.
Skills: Strong leadership qualities, ability to inspire and motivate others, effective decision-making, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Mindset: Results-oriented, team-focused, and thrives in high-volume environments.
Technical: Proficiency in MS Office Suite and CRM software such as Salesforce.
Flexibility: Willingness to travel frequently for agency visits, trade shows, and conferences.
Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field, P&C insurance license (4-40 or 2-20), and previous Personal Lines E&S experience.
