What You’ll Do:

  • Underwrite a portfolio of high-value, complex personal lines risks for high-net-worth clients.

  • Evaluate and prioritize submissions for completeness, risk quality, and rate adequacy.

  • Assess exposures, loss history, and risk controls to determine acceptability and pricing

  • Manage both new business and renewals to meet growth and retention targets.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with brokers, producers, and internal partners.

  • Conduct virtual and in-person meetings, including independent sales calls, to grow your book of business

  • Leverage underwriting tools and data to support decision-making and portfolio performance.

  • Capture market intelligence and broker feedback to inform underwriting and portfolio strategies.

  • Ensure accurate documentation and compliance with underwriting authority and guidelines.

  • Contribute to underwriting guideline enhancements, workflow improvements, and strategic projects.

  • Support marketing initiatives to increase brand awareness and drive profitable growth.



What We’re Looking For:

  • 4–7 years of Personal Lines Property & Casualty underwriting experience (high-net-worth or complex risks preferred).

  • Active Property & Casualty license (or ability to obtain within 90 days).

  • Strong understanding of underwriting principles, risk assessment, and pricing strategies.

  • Analytical mindset with the ability to evaluate complex risks and quantify exposures.

  • Excellent negotiation, influencing, and relationship-building skills.

  • Proven ability to manage a book of business and drive profitable growth.

  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with client-facing experience.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment and manage competing priorities.

  • Self-starter with strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and underwriting systems/tools.

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
